DCS Group have an exciting opportunity available for a Manufacturing Laboratory Technician to join the team based in Stratford upon Avon. Working on a full time, permanent basis, the successful Manufacturing Laboratory Technician will receive a competitive salary of £14,000 - £15,000 per annum depending on experience Would you like the opportunity to work with some of the world's largest brands ? This role is based at our Stratford upon Avon office. Main Job purpose: To support the Development Team by QC testing production bulk, carrying out basic laboratory duties and learning about the development of cosmetics and toiletries Key responsibilities and accountabilities as our Manufacturing Laboratory Technician include: - Carry out routine testing on all factory produced bulk and help advise on re-work instructions - Initiate the setting up, monitoring and recording of stability and compatibility records. - Pack off products for trials, consumer tests and customers - To work with the Development and Production Teams in following the principles of GMP. - Ensure that the laboratory is maintained in a clean and tidy condition. - To carry out development testing in accordance with GLP and ensure full and accurate records are prepared and retained. - Product development - to work with the Development Team to assist in the day to day operations in the laboratory and receive training in the development of cosmetics and toiletries. - As the role is office/laboratory based the dress should be smart casual, i.e., no denim. - Understand and follow SOPs and work instructions. - At the request of the Development Chemist, carry out any other work as directed Key Skills/ Experience needed to become our Manufacturing Laboratory Technician: - Enthusiastic to learn - Team Player - Takes direction well, and applies own initiative - Methodical mind and attention to detail - Good analysis and numerical skills - Prioritising and Time Management ability - Problem solving capabilities - Ability to communicate at all levels - Ability to liaise effectively with a variety of internal networks - Self-motivation and the ability to be flexible to change. Qualifications - Good standard of Mathematics and English to a minimum of GCSE level. - Basic Computer literacy skills with a working knowledge of Word and Excel - Industrial experience working within a development laboratory environment, (ideally within a manufacturing environment) and will have the ability to operate laboratory equipment safely and accurately If you feel you have the skills and experience to become the new Manufacturing Laboratory Technician then please click "Apply" today
