Senior UI/UX Designer - Responsive, Mobile, Adobe Based at our Birmingham City Centre offices, reporting to the Chief Architect, the Senior UI/UX Designer will be primarily responsible forthe design, prototyping and enhancement of continuously evolving mobile and web applications interfaces. Working collaboratively with a Front-End Development team, to produce intuitive and beautiful user-centred interfaces, using the latest techniques, tools and technologies. This is a "best of both worlds" opportunity - a tech start-up software business, highly focused on creating market leading on-demand platforms, owned and funded by a large profitable UK group. Faber is a ground-breaking new technology business created to develop innovative on-demand mobile-first, cloud-first platforms. Founded by experienced technology leaders, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly technical and highly skilled development team, using the latest development techniques, tools and cloud technologies, continually pushing the boundaries, to drive innovation Key responsibilities include - Design highly usable and visually attractive web interfaces against industry-leading concepts - Create and present design prototypes, sitemap and wireframes iteratively, to achieve great and engaging user experiences. - Produce high quality designs with cross browser and cross platform compatibility - Communicate detailed notes and specifications to development team members - Ensure User Interface guidelines and standards are followed from the design to the delivery of the products - Conduct product usability tests - Work efficiently with a cross functional team of stakeholders, project managers and Front-End developers within an agile environment - Keep up to date with evolving trends in web design and UX strategies, and stay ahead of them Attributes of successful candidates - A digital portfolio is required - Proven commercial experience in user centered design and interfaces - Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator) - Strong understanding of modern web principles in regard to typography, colour, architecture, responsive designs and mobile first strategy. - Familiar with Wireframing/Prototyping Tools (Balsamiq, Axure, Visio, Sketch, Pixate or others.) - Good knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS) - Proven interaction-design methodologies, including documenting user flows, creating information architectures, wireframes and prototypes, and presenting design ideas to stakeholders, users and development team. - Experience working with usability testing tools - Knowledge of Front-End web frameworks and libraries (Bootstrap, Ionic, .) a plus About You Candidates will need to have proven experience working in a team environment, possessing strong communication and organisational skills. You will have a passion and enthusiasm for creating intuitive user-centred designs and trying new solutions and technologies, alongside a willingness to share ideas across the business.
