The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a successful and progressive engineering company. If you have experience in mechanical engineering and production environments, with the ability to optimise the company's current systems and procedures, then this could be the ideal role for you. This is a multiple discipline role, with some time apportioned to the general production engineering, some to design and the remainder to the general production engineering - so the ability to prioritise, multitask and adapt is essential. The company has a very pleasant working environment and they offer plenty of training to help develop and grow your own knowledge and skillset. Requirements Identification, initiation & development of existing range and new commercially viable products Development of existing and new products and processes Assessing and aiming to overcome production difficulties Liaison with production staff, suppliers and customers face to face and via telephone/email Assisting in production testing and analysis Answering technical queries via telephone, fax and email Creating technical drawings & data sheets Taking sales calls from customers, when required To participate actively in supporting the principals and practices of equal opportunities as laid down in company policies. To be responsible for your own Health & Safety and that of your colleagues To observe all regulations in relation to the Health & Safety at Work Act. Key Skills Essential Technical Writing Literate & Numerate Excellent telephone manner Effective communication with members of the public - delivery persons, customers, suppliers etc. Ability to manage own workload Ability to work as part of a team as well as motivational skills and a willingness to lead Auto CAD Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Word & Excel Adobe pdf reader Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Overall engineering manufacturing processes Ability to prioritise, multitask & adapt Ability to work accurately in busy production and office environments Flexible approach to work and assist others as and when required Pro-active approach to continuous improvement Desirable Excellent time management & prioritising skills Ability to progress products within the technical boundaries Marketing experience SAGE Line 50 Accounts SAGE 50 Manufacturing Sage ACT Pro database Fluid Handling (would be an advantage) Overall engineering manufacturing process knowledge of flow measurement Willing to work overtime if necessary Eagerness to absorb large amounts of technical information and problem solve Key Words - Engineer, Engineering, Manufacturing, Fluid Handling, Autocad, Flow Measurement, Production, Technical Writing, Mechanical Engineering, Additional Resources are an Employment Business and an Employment Agency as defined within The Conduct of Employment Agencies & Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.
