The Company Our client is a major UK based design and manufacturing company which supplies the global market with it's products. They have sites across the UK and now have a vacancy at their major North East based design and manufacturing facility for a Project Engineer. The Role Ensure all relevant technical standards and specifications are adhered to for full technical compliance without supervision outside of departmental guidelines. Responsible for ensuring high levels of engineering quality throughout the project / manufacturing processes. Part of a team of multi-discipline personnel, inputting a wide experience of fire and gas detection knowledge. Responsible for the technical specification and timely implementation of engineered solutions. Provide technical support as required to sales and service teams. Attend regular production meetings and manage manufacturing / purchasing teams to ensure system manufacturing is successful. Attend internal project reviews ensuring full technical compliance for engineering and export compliance. Continuous communication with Project Managers, Manufacturing and Purchasing. Create accurate bills of materials and costing sheets ensuring budget is managed for sales and projects. Manage manufacturing team for system builds on projects. Fault finding and testing of products and manufactured systems to component level Conducting customer site surveys both onshore and offshore. Problem solving and lessons learned. Provide installation or commissioning support on all projects Provide front end sales and quotation support if required Provide marketing support Provide aftersales technical support for all projects The Person Completion of an Instrumentation, Electrical or similar modern apprenticeship Or Bachelor degree or HNC/HND in Instrumentation, Electrical or similar. Relative experience in the following would be ideal: Instrumentation, Control systems, PLC, Gas Detection, Fire Detection Equipment, SCADA and Automation Control. Extensive experience in related industries. IT knowledge. Customer orientation. Ability to organise and prioritise. Ability to work within a team. Capability of assessment to make appropriate decisions. Instrumentation & Control Engineer knowledge. This job was originally posted as NA
