Business Development Manager - IT Managed Services Home based role covering South East England and the Midlands. You will be office based one day per week in Oxfordshire. Job Type: Permanent Location: Home Based - Canddiates should live close to or within the territory with Birmingham, Warwick, Oxford, Northampton, Milton Keynes, North London considered advantageous locations. Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 basic, OTE £70,000 to £90,000 Market Sector: IT Cloud Solutions, IT Managed Services, IT Consultancy, IT Solutions, Data Storage, Data Protection, SaaS Benefits: Car, Pension, Life Assurance Your role will be a mixture of Account Management and New Business generation but the major focus will be selling within existing accounts. Knowledge of IT Storage, Data Protection and Cloud Solutions is desirable but not essential. However, applicants should be highly experienced IT Sales Professionals with a solid track record in field based sales of complex Software/IT Managed Service Solutions and/or IT Professional Services. Business Development Manager - IT Managed Services leads the sales effort in the field, selling into existing accounts and looking for prospective customers for a range of IT Managed Services. You will foster and develop personal and contractual relationships with key clients and prospects and manage a defined sales territory. The primary responsibility will be to generate sales revenue through the sale of Software and Professional Services in the IT Managed Services Marketplace. Key Role Responsibilities Qualify, develop and close sales opportunities Maximize direct and indirect sales in your territory Lead the initial sales process from lead generation to close Ensure that key customer relationships are acknowledged, managed, and leveraged Reach and exceed all sales targets Proactively work to increase prospect contacts while continuing to follow-up and manage new business opportunities Travel approximately 25% of the time to meet with customers. Work with the management team to set accurate sales forecasts for accounts which allows company to meet sales objectives and targets Stay abreast of changes in the IT Managed Services market that impact products or services Experience required: Three years progressive experience in field based sales of complex Software/IT Managed Service Solutions Solid Sales Management, Territory Management and Account Development within the IT Services market A successful (and demonstrable) track history of new business development with an emphasis on sales of software or other similar technical product/services line Ideally experience of selling SaaS, DRaaS, PaaS, IaaS, IT Cloud Services Excellent presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills Driven to support customer satisfaction at the highest levels Must have strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills Demonstrated sales skills and negotiation ability with a proven successful track record Ability to close sales deals The role will suit individuals currently working as a Business Development Manager - IT Managed Services, Account Manager, Sales Executive, Business Development Manager, Fields Sales Executive, External Sales Manager and be living within a commutable distance of Oxford, Banbury, Stratford Upon Avon, Luton, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Swindon, Birmingham, London, Warwick, Rugby, Northampton, Worcester or be willing to relocate.
