Our client specialists in manufacturing laser engraving, laser marking and laser cutting machines are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to cover the South/ South East UK . The successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £30,000 per annum , depending on experience plus company vehicle. Our client is one of the world's foremost manufacturers of laser cutting and engraving machines, with over 200 employees spanning 13 international sales branches, they're the recognised technological leader in the international market for laser engraving, marking and cutting machines and see it as their duty to continue developing and improving their laser technology. They require a Field Service Engineer to complete commissioning, training, service and support of new and existing installations and to underpin the growing machine population. The regional company base is in Guildford, although the majority of the work will be on customer sites. The successful candidate will cover a large territory across the South to South East of the UK, with occasional requirement to assist in other parts of the UK including Scotland and Ireland Some travel to Austria for Training may be required. Duties of their Field Service Engineer will include: - Commissioning and customer training of software and machine systems. - Service and repair of high end CNC laser engraving/cutting machines. - Fault finding on all products - Bespoke customer training on existing equipment. - Documentation of service and installation visits. Skills and Qualifications needed to become their Field Service Engineer include: Either; - Training, qualification or experience in Computerised electro-mechanical equipment or - Degree in Engineering, Product Design, CAE, Electrical Engineering or similar Essential; - Competence in the use of graphics or CAD software - Ability to take ownership and work independently from their vehicle with limited day to day direct supervision. - Previous field service experience. - Good interpersonal skills and professional manner. - Full, clean and current driving license. - A willingness to travel (must have a valid passport). - Willingness to undertake staff training and development as required. - Passionate about new technology.
