We are a global market leader in enterprise mobility and asset visibility solutions and we're looking for a customer focused, technically savvy and highly motivated Field Engineer / Implementation Specialist to join our team. Our solutions consist of Real Time Locating Solutions which allow our customers to track assets, inventory and personnel, gain visibility over business operations and streamline the value chain enabling effective material flow in manufacturing, automotive, retail and healthcare/government environments. The Field Engineer will work directly with customers and be involved in the design, analysis, configuration and delivery of complex solutions. Some responsibilities will include: Analysing customer processes in order to recommend best practices and application configurations. Design and commission deployments of ours or our Partner technologies such as RFID Passive & Active, BLE, Wireless Handhelds & Terminals Develop integrated solutions to meet customer needs. Install and configure our applications at customer sites. Implement and professionally progress all aspects of client delivery, including scope, adherence, key performance indicators, work plans, training and implementation. Coaching and training at all levels of the client or partner organization as well as directing installation contractors during the course of project deployments. Ensure the successful launch of developed applications Work independently and in teams. Interacting with various parts of the organization to represent Professional Services in interactions with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Partner Channels and Sales Assist with the development of new tools and technologies. You'll be travelling 40% to 60% of the time, internationally as well as in the UK and this naturally requires a high level of organisation and motivation as well as excellent skills in communication; in person, over the phone and in writing. A technical degree is really important combined with system integration and application interface understanding. Technically, you'll have experience/knowledge of RFID, RTLS, RF technology, operating systems and server technology (OS Microsoft, Linux) and Databases (MS SQL, Oracle etc) We'd ideally like this person to have experience of implementing solutions comprised of multiple technologies and process design too. Sound business understanding, performance management and data analysis skills are key, as are high levels of self motivation.
