Due to the current state of the business, this fast growing and well established asbestos consultancy with a good presence is currently seeking for an ambitious, self-driven and commercially focused Asbestos Business Development Manager based in the South East and will include applications from London, Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. Qualifications & Experience: Ideally, the applicant must come from a strong sales, business development, management, technical and office background and at the same time must have a proven track record working within this role and within the asbestos industry, although working in other sectors would be beneficial. Must have good formal education or any other qualifications would be beneficial. Must be proficient in using the computer - Microsoft Office Package. Must be well versed with the asbestos industry. Must have good communication, people management, and leadership, organizational, presentational and client-facing skills. Purpose of the Role: Developing new business leads and strategy and at the same time managing the existing accounts. Role Will Encompass: Getting involved with the sales and commercial and financial side of the business - promoting the company's asbestos services. Pricing and tendering. Developing and monitoring business forecasts and budgets. Managing the sales activities of the company. Maintaining and building a good rapport with new clients/customers by liaising and negotiating appropriately with regards to winning new contracts. Maintaining the company's systems - Database. Attending and conducting meetings and discussing financial position of the business, etc. Achieving target and goals. Developing and training the sales staff. Dealing with any queries with regards to sales, etc. Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the company's Health & Safety procedures. Developing plans for new clients and suppliers - contracts or services. Overall, the successful post-holder will be astute and have the ability to take the business to the next level.
