Sourcing Manager / Procurement Lead SUMMARY - Supplier Quality management. - New Supplier sourcing with risk management. - Drive improvement initiatives covering all aspects of supplier performance and relationship - cost, quality and delivery. - Support day to day Purchasing activities. REPORTING SUMMARY Direct report to Supply Chain Manager KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Identify new Suppliers as necessary to support product demand, evaluate current suppliers to ensure a program of supplier risk management to the business. - Ensuring supplier compliance with regulatory requirements and those of the organisation. - Develop & implement vendor rating system, including data collection, analysis, reporting & subsequent follow-up action to improve poor performing suppliers. - Negotiate Supplier Contracts and payment terms with periodical reviews of agreements and MoU's - Identifying opportunities for value enhancement in supply base to deliver maximum product availability and cost efficiency. Good understanding of Lean principles to support supplier development. - Support purchasing function to minimise physical material holding utilising Supplier safety stock holding where possible - Drive suppliers to implement industry standard supply methods and procedures ensuring that the Approved Suppliers List (ASL) is maintained and manage the supplier audit schedule to maintain compliance. - New product introduction sourcing as required - Involved with first article inspection - Experience of SAP, and developing reports for supplier spends / performance. - Experience of developing and providing opportunities for savings through LCC spend - Supporting all standard daily Purchasing activities to meet Production demand. - Be the focal point for the purchasing team to co-ordinate with supplier quality and the resolution for RCCA activities; monitor the cost of poor quality and the effects on inventory value. Other duties: - To assist the company in meeting its Health & Safety objectives and be fully conversant with all H&S procedures. - Be aware of, and comply with, all Quality Assurance procedures. - Ensure that all created procedures are documented, registered and controlled through Quality hierarchy. - To deputise for other colleagues within Operations where necessary. Sourcing Manager Essential Desirable Qualifications or Functional Experience - 5 years demonstrable functional Purchasing & Sourcing experience in a technical, high mix / low volume environment. - Experience of integrated systems (mechanical, electrical, electronic) - BSc/ BEng level qualification. - SAP familiarity Skills, Knowledge, Experience - Excellent PC skills - Mech / Electrical knowledge Ability to interpret drawings - Proven Self Starter able to counter resistance and deliver - Able to work independently, with own team and as a member of business management team - IT literate with experience of standard MS Office tools - Familiarity with large enclosure Stainless Steel Fabrication techniques. - Experience with inspection systems (X-Ray a bonus) - Track record of driving change management initiatives and driving quality culture creation. - Lean manufacturing skills - Process orientated Personal Attributes - Strong communication and influencing skills and ability to interact with suppliers, peers, employees, and external agencies. - Ambitious, focused, authoritative - Flexible approach to recognize need for pragmatism in relevant context - Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and commitment. - Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure - Ability to generate excitement and enthusiasm to achieve the visions and company strategy.
