Quality Auditor Northampton An exciting opportunity has arisen for a site auditor responsible for factory production, processes and paperwork to ensure that standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping are performed effectively ensuring continued product safety and quality. Salary : £18000 to £21000 Hours: Working x3 Shifts Rotating on Earlies, Lates & Nights (40 - 47 Hours a week volume driven, O/T rate paid after 47 hours, standard rate prior to that) Days: Monday - Friday Must: Have a Driving Licence - Working across 2 sites (short drive) Location : Northampton then easily commutable from all surrounding towns within reasonable travelling distance. Duration : Permanent The Role Daily coding and labelling audit, including checks in goods-in, factory and packaging for correct labelling, date coding and print quality etc. Daily goods-in, warehouse and yard audit. Reporting non conformance raised. Perform Micro and hygiene out of spec/trend analysis and report as appropriate. Perform checks and audits in the factory and across site Daily low care / high care production, product and paperwork audit. Daily CCP paperwork audit. Daily hygiene and housekeeping audit. Weekly monitoring (via titration) of factory cleaning chemical concentrations. Ensure that all required factory checks are carried out satisfactorily i.e. washouts and weight checks etc. Monitor product quality and ensure all products are correctly assembled. Liaise closely with Team Leaders, and Process Manager to ensure products are within factory specifications. Report and record all findings and any non-conformance daily. Co-ordinate the calibration schedule, working with the General Manager, to ensure that all temperature probes and balances are calibrated at the appropriate frequency, all scales are checked daily and the requirements of the calibration policy are fulfilled. Weekly monitoring of factory cleaning chemical concentrations. Schedule and manage the microbiological sampling plan. Carry out swabbing and arrange / collect samples for testing and delivery to the lab. Perform Micro and hygiene out of spec/trend analysis and report as appropriate. Assist with training of factory operatives in correct policies and procedures as required. Feedback on training deficiencies. Make recommendations for updating relevant paperwork / procedures as required. Follow up on any actions or non-conformance using direct face-to-face contact. Liaise with the General Manager to ensure that audits are scheduled and completed as required. Ensure all QA reports are filed in an organised manner to enable easy retrieval when required for audit purposes. Do not delay, applications now being accepted and interviews being arranged.
