As part of our commitment to the "hire to develop" strategy, we are offering students within their penultimate study year the opportunity to complete a 12 month, fully paid industry based learning program. This program has opened up many doors for undergraduates for more than 20 years, offering a wide range of hands on skills that are easily transferable into any workplace to kick start your career.

Working in our Warehouse and Distribution Centre as a Supply Chain intern, you will love gaining hands on experience with stakeholders at all levels of the business. Liaising with Demand Planners, Department Managers and those on the Shop Floor and you will be able to engage in business conversations with a wide range of people across many parts of the Cummins organisation. As part of this role, you will be exposed to Inventory management concepts, demand planning, warehouse operations and design. Also, you will be challenged to use your academic background, knowledge creativity and initiative working side by side with experience Supply Chain practitioners and engineers from whom you can learn and expand your Supply Chain or Engineering knowledge base.

In this 12 month position, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to a number of important projects, requiring strong attention to detail and a high level of analytical ability.

What we are looking for:
  • An undergraduate in their penultimate year of study
  • Those studying an Supply Chain & Logistic or Engineering discipline
  • Someone with a genuine interest in Supply Chain and Demand Planning, forecasting or Distribution
  • An excellent communicator
  • A confident, outgoing individual who will seek out necessary information in order to achieve set outcomes
  • An organised self-starter who can show outstanding initiative
  • A team player with a flexible attitude towards their work
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and have an aptitude for picking up new systems quickly
This is a 12 month, full time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program. Please apply online to be considered for this position.
