The rewards speak for themselves. We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for Multi-skilled Engineers based in Appley Bridge. The successful applicants will carry out reactive and proactive maintenance to all site plant and equipment, resolving equipment failures and carrying out planned and unplanned engineering tasks in a responsive and effective manner. Employment type: Full time & Permanent Probation: 6 months with objectives identified for completion within that period Salary: £13.58 per hour pluscompetitive shift allowance Qualification: NVQ Level 3 and a recognised apprenticeship in Engineering Candidate Profile - Planning - able to prioritise own workload and manage time effectively and efficiently. - Problem Solve - able to identify equipment faults and apply recognised engineering solutions to correct fault. - Communication - able to express information clearly in writing and verbally on all levels, including reporting through the industry recognised site CMMS. - Ability to render performance with Integrity. - Team Working - able to work well within a team contributing to objectives and work to departmental goals,. Use industry best practice and work on in house projects. - Interpersonal Skills - able to interact with others in an effective way. - Complete documentation to record completed individual tasks and plan departmental workload using the site CMMS. Qualifications - Qualified Mechanical or Electrical engineer having served a recognised apprenticeship and display a proven history in a heavy maintenance background. - Minimum ONC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or NVQ level 3 or equivalent. - Multi-skilled with credible mechanical and electrical experience in an industrial maintenance environment. - Experience of pneumatics, hydraulics and process control systems. Responsibilities: - Respond to breakdowns, systematically fault find, and identify root cause failure and then implement solution to prevent recurrence. - Carry out planned maintenance and identify continuous improvements to increase equipment efficiency. - Work with production, support groups and suppliers to implement improvement opportunities to increase equipment efficiency and safety and reduce engineering downtime. - Identify and implement improvements to equipment to increase process robustness and reliability. Knowledge of industry best practice ie. 5s, TPM etc. Company Benefits The full time, permanent position comes with a company paid health plan, contributory pension, Life Assurance plan, 26 days holidays in addition to 8 bank holidays and a free car park.
