Based in our award winning manufacturing site in Poole, Dorset, the Process Engineer will participate in the introduction of new products and the development of production methods. What are my responsibilities? - Assist in the Introduction of new products, determining the most efficient production methods, giving the design / production team guidance as necessary - Conducts training / guidance to operators on production related topics - Develops and maintains an awareness of modern production engineering practices, processes and techniques - Generating risk assessments (HazOps) - Support shop floor production equipment (maintenance) - Responsibility for ensuring a financial awareness to process activities but no direct budgetary responsibility - You will be required to develop solutions to resolve a variety of manufacturing process problems so as to maintain a smooth and efficient manufacturing function - You will be expected to work with your manager and colleagues in understanding the departments objectives and deadlines and planning your work in order to meet these priorities What do I need to qualify for the role? - Good working knowledge of manufacturing process control techniques - A detailed knowledge of production processes and practices are essential, experience in electromechanical production including knowledge of material and process constraints preferable - High quality and sustained output, and show flexibility when assigned to the various production engineering and related disciplines - You will have demonstrable experiencewithin electronics manufacturing industry and be qualified to ONC level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject - Be organised and able to work methodically and accurately under pressure - Experience of a drawing package tool would be an advantage but not essential - Experience of Microsoft office skills using Word and Excel - Knowledge of a relevant MMS would be beneficial - Ideally you will have experience of new product/process introduction LI-CW Siemens provides innovative solutions to help tackle the UK's major challenges.
