Engineering Manager - Computer Hardware - Hampshire - JJ88 Salary / benefits: DOE, £40-50K. Job Term: Permanent / Full Time Job Outline: Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist computers, now seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee a wide range of engineering group functions. You will provide leadership for the Design & Innovations, Project Manager, V&V and Compliance, NPI and PLM teams. This will include the management, planning and scheduling of work and setting KPI's for the engineering department. You will also act as a mentor to the engineers to drive the company forward. You will collaborate with the project management team and have technical involvement in multiple projects. This will include the involvement of design reviews, costs, estimates and ensure the project engineers are adhering to ISO 9001. You will communicate effectively with the clients to update them on projects and agreeing project objectives. As part of a technical engineering team, you will take on design authority responsibility for product development and realisation. You will ensure that all design are optimal and that desired outcome is achieved. You will also be involved in the customer facing side of the promotion of the business and will be able to discuss and understand the customer's technology requirements. Qualifications: You will hold a formal technical/engineering qualifications, preferably a degree in an engineering discipline. You will also be technically well updated and connected to current electronics/computing technologies. Experience: You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams (mechanical, electro/mechanical, electronics, computer configuration/integration etc.). Project Management experience is essential as you will be setting and adhering to budgets and meeting with customers to provide a consultative solution-orientated technical experience. Experience with setting up, maintaining and working in a professional and structured methodology aligned to ISO 9001 standard. Additional Information: Candidates MUST hold a Full driving licence and be eligible to work and live in the UK.
