Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
£negotiable to experience + package

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant-Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, to join an award winning Main Contractor on a permanent basis.

My client is an established building contractor that operates across the North West UK. Due to continued demand and recent contract wins they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who might possibly be nearly at Intermediate level, to join the business with a view to working on a mix of New Build, Design and Build, and Refurbishment works across a variety of sectors, so experience of working on projects across more than one sector is ideal (i.e. Retail, Education, etc)

The successful candidate will ideally have a worked for an established main contractor, will have experience of assisting jobs/projects ideally across the Commercial, Education, Healthcare, etc, sectors. The post is suited for someone who has completed their degree and has been involved in Building projects up to around £6-10m. The company have an excellent reputation amongst their employees and would be ideal for anyone in and around the Manchester area looking to work in the region.

Minimum Requirements:
-Degree or equivalent in relevant subject (Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management etc.)
-Working experience as Assistant QS for Main Contractor
-Experience in similar position
- Full and clean Driving License

Responsibilities also include:
-To attend site and progress meetings as required by the Client.
-To advise on the construction cost implications of any instruction and other matters as requested by the Client.
-To prepare periodic cost reports in agreed format at specified times
-To prepare, negotiate, and issue final accounts and final statements
-To prepare Contract documents, etc.
