Executive/Principal Electrical Engineer - Building Services|
Leading MEP Building Services Consultancy with offices across the country and many prestigious ongoing projects are seeking an Executive / Principal Engineer to lead the Electrical aspect of Projects from the Mancherster office.
The Principal / Executive Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes.
This is a client facing role, which will require the successful candidate to pass on their experience to more junior Electrical Engineers within the team. The Engineer will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 Engineers within a larger team structure led by an Associate.
Responsible for meeting with clients, developing and producing reports, specifications and guidance or overseeing testing and commissioning activities, to ensure the best results the team will have to work closely to achieve the best results.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will be Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience. Chartered or working towards chartership would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Engineering and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
Previous consultancy experience is essential. The candidate will appreciate the importance of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering and computer modelling in the design of buildings and be adept at analysing and interpreting their impact on other aspects of the project.
The job holder will self-motivated and confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a proven track record of exercising commercial judgement together with practical knowledge to deliver positive outcomes, The Electrical Engineer will take a collaborative approach both externally in design teams and internally with peers.
