Convergence Group has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to join the team based in Solihull. You will be on a full time permanent contract, with a highly competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.

Accountabilities a sour Technical Project Manager:

You will be reporting to the head of delivery and will be responsible for delivering complex network solutions, working with the project team to deliver the customers' requirements.

Specific duties to be performed by our Technical Project Manager:

- SPOC for all customer communications while in project delivery

- Arrange all customer meetings and Project planning, identifying specific timelines for delivery

- Proficient in documentation creation to include: PID, SOW, Change control RAID, and RAG reporting.

- Project tracking, through project lifecycle

- Identify key stakeholders internally and externally

- Creation of project scope

- Successful deployment of the project scope

- Identify all risks and creation of issue log with recommendations and proposals to resolve

- Financial tracking of all project costs relating to the project

- Resource allocation and management

- Identify reporting requirements

- Manage suppliers through escalation

- Liaise with all business units associated with the project

- Support projects to deliver external complex customer projects

- Support the internal business to deliver transformational projects

- Promote forward thinking.

- SPOC for all customer communications

- Work with a team of project managers and project coordinators to deliver the overall professional management strategy

- Work to agreed clear and measurable SMART project objectives for the department

- Identify RISKS and GAPS that could affect project delivery

- Provide solutions to negate RISKS

- Lead virtual business teams to deliver key transformational projects on time.

- Manage and motivate all members of cross functional teams (direct and virtual) to deliver project services

- Maintain and improve the processes, procedures and systems to support all projects.

- Reduce the end to end delivery time for all projects through continual improvement analysis.

- Lead by example and provide escalation support to the teams when resolving project delivery issues, resource issues or any conflict between BAU and transformation

Our ideal Technical Project Manager:

- Qualified as a Prince2 Practitioner

- Educated to degree level, preferably in an engineering subject

- ITIL V3 Foundation Certified (preferred)

- Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite (Microsoft project, word, excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

- Previous experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow Remedy

Person Specification:

- Proven track record for delivery of large scale, complex projects delivering IT/Telco customer solutions.

- Effective leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Self-motivated and highly self-aware and self-disciplined.

- Self-starter with a clear can-do mentality. You will have the ability to work under pressure from both customers and internal stakeholders and produce solutions that are immediately deliverable.

- Strong team player able to interact and communicate at all levels

- Experience of having worked in a fast paced, high pressure, changing environment.

- An effective problem solver and a good influencer

- Negotiation and conflict management - Simple, direct, and effective

- Proficient in documentation creation to include: PID, SOW, Change control RAID, and RAG reporting.

- Budget and financial background

- Able to understand and follow both Project and Operational Change Control processes.

- Demonstrable leadership skills and organisational experience

- Strong project planning and process improvement skills

- Critical thinking and problem solving

- Able to balance an operational, pragmatic approach to decision making, whilst ensuring appropriate risk management.

- The successful candidate will be required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Vetting Standard (BPSS) and may be required to undergo Security Clearance (SC)
