Carrington West on behalf of their client is currently recruiting for a Highways Design Engineer in Cheshire.
Our client will consider candidates with the below skills from an engineer to principal engineer level with the exact rate according to specific experience.
The (Senior) Highways Design Engineer / (Senior) Infrastructure Engineer
will be responsible for managing the production of technical design information including reports, drawings and specifications for Design and Build Highway projects.
Main responsibilities of the (Senior) Highways Design Engineer / (Senior) Infrastructure Engineer
•Production of high quality scheme and detailed design information, technical reports, drawings, tender documents and specifications;
•Carry out technical reviews and checking of design information and reports prepared by others within the team.
•Undertaking Project Management and financial control of small to medium sized projects.
•The candidate will also be expected to take an active role in driving Technical Excellence within the team. This shall include:
- Strengthening BIM/3D Modelling skills and expanding the team portfolio
- Improving efficiency through use of engineering software
- Sharing technical knowledge within the team and the wider group
- Improving quality of the team output including drawings, models, reports, specifications
Required qualifications, skills/ knowledge of (Senior) Highways Design Engineer / (Senior) Infrastructure Engineer are:
•Highly motivated with strong interest in the subject area and experience in highways and infrastructure engineering;
•Knowledge of highways schemes that require Section 278, 38 and 104 agreements;
•Able to demonstrate proficiency of industry standard software including Windes Micro Draiange, AutoCAD, Civils 3D and MX if possible;
•Sound knowledge of standards such as Sewers for Adoption, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, CIRIA guidance and Specification for Highway Works;
