Our client is looking for a candidate who will be an expert on Information and Big data technologies and architecture. They will be working with teams to develop an appropriate architecture for the development of their information, that will allow them to easily exploit their information to provide new types of value to the businesses. To provide information and big data technology related support to internal teams.
The candidate will need to develop roadmaps with the client's businesses around the world, that will evolve their information capability and help them to exploit value from information, integration and big data functionality.
It is important that the candidate combines high levels of credibility and expertise with a demonstrable track record of relationship building and delivery. Key to success will be the individual's ability to lead and influence change through high levels of support and guidance to individual business units.
To develop a good understanding of the current state of Information functionality and tools across the countries the client is based in, and document the current situation. To develop a generic group wide roadmap for Information structure and tools development to support exploitation of information and continually maintain the roadmap in light of new external development.
To support the internal teams with the development of an appropriate approach to delivering insight through the use of information and the exploitation of Big Data approaches. Develop and implement proof of concept or prototype applications to gain traction and understanding across the business units.
To provide expert advice and coaching to the client's business unit executives with IT responsibility in the relevant countries, focusing on how technology can help them improve decision making, and automate decisions based on the automatic analysis of information. Work with the countries to help them develop their own local roadmap relating to information and big data, taking into account best practice identified within the group. Where appropriate, act as a project coach for the technical and functional elements of the projects that include information and big data related functionality.
• Business Unit led IT systems which deliver competitive advantage to the businesses in their markets, and are reliable, available and serviceable;
• Roadmap for how Group IT will support each country with the development of information, integration and big data related capabilities with specific deliverables
