Job location: Derby, East Midlands
Hourly pay rate: £9.21 PAYE- £11.43 LTD Days £9.95 PAYE - £12.40 LTD Mornings
£10.68 PAYE - £13.35 LTD Afternoons
Shifts: Monday to Friday (days, 6-2, 2-10 and maybe nights)
Hours per week: 37 Hours per week
Duration: On-going contract (12 months+)
Start date: June 2016
Trades considered: Mechanic, Automotive, Welding, Paint Spraying, Sprayer, Electrician, Joinery, Plumbing, Assembler, Mechanical Engineer, Scaffolders, Ex-Forces, Army, Practical hands on trades.
Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance. This roll will be working a huge project which will go into manufacture in the coming months.
Position Summary :
Suitable candidates will be put through a 1 week training package where they will become Rail competent and ready to begin work.
A previous engineering background would be ideal, however any other practical hands-on experience will be considered.
Once through the competency training you will be allocated in to one of the departments, which fit your skill set most appropriately, with the main bulk of the work on the build of a new state of art Train.
Vehicle Build: Attaching the body sides, working from written work instructions, torque tightening, working to a safety critical standard, earth bonding, fitting cab backs and interiors.
Vehicle Build (underframe): Fitting large components, torque tightening, witness marking, working to written work instructions and pipe fitting
Electrical: Fitting electrical components, visual checks of work, competency checks, fault finding using a fluke meter, working from schematics and crimping

We would ideally require those with the following skills:
* Good 'can-do' attitude
* Practically Minded
* Able to carry out a physical job
* Able to follow and complete written work instructions
* Open to working shifts
* Willing to take direction
* Open to learning new skills/techniques
NVQ Level 2's in an engineering field would be ideal but not essential. Will consider anybody that has a practical background.
