To support the launch of Electrical content on all new vehicle programmes.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Represent Electrical Product Development as a secondee to the New Model Launch team.
Ensure successful product launch by responding quickly and proactively to contain and resolve cross-functional problems.
Act as first point of contact for all Electrical issues identified during the launch phase, offering resolution where possible and escalation to the relevant Electrical Engineers where necessary.
Work with Production, Quality and Product Development to ensure all issues are identified, documented, allocated and robustly closed.
Assist in the planning and preparation of pre-production builds.
Ensure issues are correctly documented and reported in line with company policy and procedures.
Offer wider ranging electrical expertise to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and compatible with the vehicles electrical architecture.
Qualifications & Experience:
Engineering HNC / HND or equivalent with experience of electrical systems.
Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
Must have experience of working with electrical systems.
Experience in the automotive industry within a launch related role.
Must be able to work within cross-functional teams effectively.
Must be able to think on your feet to provide quick and robust solutions to a wide range of issues that could arise.
Must have good planning capabilities.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess an engineering mind-set and logical approach to problem solving.
Must be able to manage large workloads in a high pressure environment and prioritise accordingly.
Proactive approach to supporting prototype builds and resolving issues.
Ability to analyse and validate data and develop recovery plans where necessary.
Must be able to work under their own initiative with minimum supervision to deliver objectives.
Should have good presentation skills.
Should have a good understanding of industry standard engineering and launch processes.
You should be prepared to travel when necessary to fulfil this role
