Customer Quality Controller - Melksham

We are looking for a Customer Quality Controller to be based in Melksham Wiltshire for a world leading Systems supplier (design, manufacture and servicing) to the rail industry for Platform Screen Door Systems, Braking, HVAC, Driver Assistance and Auxiliary Power Systems.

The Customer Quality Controller will manage customers on product quality issues through evaluating the returned product and non-conformance report. They will also act as a SAP co-ordinator for complaint logging at the first stage of complaint management

- Analysing customer product return to define the problem definition into the SAP system
- Responsible for inputting the complaint information into SAP accurately and provide initial report to customer within agreed lead-time
- Be responsible for the administration of the 1st phase of the complaints process, including logging, ascertaining completeness of information, liaising with Stores, suppliers, internal and external customers
- Managing RMA process to authorise material returns
- Working with internal quality contacts to support containment activities
- Review complaint analysis from shop floor and write report in SAP
- Populate SAP system with additional information for specific grade of complaints
- Manage the status of shop floor and supplier warranty order completion and update Customer Service team on promise date through order book management process
- Communicate complaints onto the QRQC Board
- Support the complaint investigation team by co-ordinating with internal and external customers on different tasks required for successful completion of 8Ds
- Collate data, statistics and updates for the Quality Manager on returns
- Co-ordinate the customer joint investigation between various KB teams and customer

Professional experience and qualifications:
- Educated to a minimum of A Level
- Experience of Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
- Experience in use of QM SAP is essential
- MS Office - Intermediate
- SAP QM - Intermediate
- Driven individual who can plan, prioritise workloads and bring tasks to completion within agreed timeframe
- Previous experience of working in complaint handling environment or Rail customer quality
- Highly organised and single minded focus on task
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility to work in a fluctuating demand environment

- Salary - £28,000 to £39,000 - dependent upon experience.
