To build Mechanical and Hydraulic assemblies and sub-assemblies to the correct build standards or drawings/ information provided. To make sure all sub-assemblies and tested components are completed on time and in-line with delivery schedules whilst ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
To Support the assembly & commissioning of mechanical products which may include offsite work when required
To Support production engineering with cost reduction implementation and quality improvements
To ensure adequate time management to minimise waste and ensure maximum efficiency is achieved to product delivery schedules
To maintain and help generate manufacturing procedures and build documentation
To highlight any build/design faults to the supervisor
To raise change requests and provide information to improve product quality or improve efficiency to support the continual improvement process
To ensure that all mechanical and hydraulic assemblies are assembled correctly and to the right quality standards and procedures
To ensure all mechanical and hydraulic assemblies are tested in accordance with company test procedures and safe working practices
To be able to interpret engineering information and drawings into working assemblies
To help and support others with training when possible by passing on knowledge and skills
To ensure that their working area is a safe and clean environment and in compliance with the 5S best practice and health & safety policies
ONC or equivalent in a relevant mechanical & hydraulic discipline.
Or HNC/HND in a relevant mechanical & hydraulic discipline.
Time served Mechanical & Hydraulic apprenticeship in a related industry or Armed services, or extensive proven experience working within a mechanical & hydraulic engineering environment.
