A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Quantico, VA.
Position Functions or Responsibilities: Project Description : This client develops and operates an enterprise-wide training system for its entire organization. The enterprise-wide training system is comprised of a number of commercial and custom build components integrated together to provide to meet its mission needs. The client develops the custom components, integrates the various components together, and performs the necessary operations support to manage the system on a day-to-day basis. The client requires contractor staff to augment its development and operations team and provide particular skills in order to perform specific development and operations tasks such as project management, help desk, documentation, customer support, course/training development, applications development, database development/administration, systems analysis, etc.
Role : The Senior Project Manager will oversee contractor personnel as well as the planning, direction and coordination support necessary to accomplish all work within the statement of work to ensure timely, satisfactory and cost efficient delivery. The Senior Project Manager will oversee and direct the following tasks within the project:
• Functional requirements analysis and development, software development, database development, customer support, design, installation, maintenance and/or migration of software, systems, and equipment supporting any client mission as directed by the government lead. • Support, direction, and/or guidance to personnel supporting client as directed by the government lead. • Documentation to include project life cycle management documents, diagrams, manuals, pictures, descriptions, minutes, and/or any written productions as directed by the government lead. • Presentations, to include public speaking for the purpose of education of client's executive staff and client staff for current and future technical systems. This support will include presentations and demonstrations of current and future systems, as directed by the government lead.
Basic Qualifications: Requirements :
• Must have fully adjudicated/active Top Secret security clearance • Must have a bachelor degree • Must have a minimum of six (6) years as a project manager • Must have a minimum of three (3) years as a technical project manager overseeing projects involving application or software development; IT systems design, installation, maintenance, upgrade and/or migration. • Must have a minimum of three (3) years using Agile development methodologies for IT projects.
Desired Skills :
• PMP, ITILv3 and/or Agile certification • Masters degree in IT, Project/Program Management • Experience with educational course development or instructional design
