We are currently looking for an:
OSC* Internal Controls Coordinator (*Ontario Security Commission)
based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania
Deliver timely on the OSC Cycle with expected level of quality and support ad hoc related Internal Control activities as applicable in order to achieve and sustain compliance with Ontario Security Commission regulations OSC 52-109.
1. Delivery on the annual OSC cycle on time and with the expected quality for the assigned sites and sub-processes:
•Perform testing procedures to validate and assess the design and the operational effectiveness of the relevant internal controls per assigned sub-process
•Providing support to Business Process Owners ("BPOs") in the preparation of the financial processes documentation (narrative and flowchart) and internal controls definitions
•Identifying of relevant gaps per sub-process and participating in the gap and remediation plans monitoring with the BPOs
•Supporting in annual scoping exercise as well as in status and gap reporting to OSC Certifiers
•Supporting process improvement for financial processes, assess and monitor the risks and the benefits of the improvements
2. Coordination role:
•Support the Management Team on the annual scoping, planning activities
•Coordinate specialists on assigned projects (size of project to be defined based on experience and seniority) across different BT sites worldwide to deliver on the annual OSC
•Support the Managers in assigned quality review activities to ensure that the Bombardier OSC methodology & tools are properly applied as per the standards defined by the Bombardier OSC Technical Committee and the OSC Management Team
•Throughout the reviews, ensure consistency of the internal controls process across the organization
•Participating actively in the preparation and execution for the workshop, training (including induction for new comers) and other communication activities related to the OSC function
3. Communication role:
•Regular monitoring and reporting of work progress and gap status to OSC Management Team by overseeing activities performed by assigned Specialists (besides own test completion)
•Reporting promptly any information/risk that may impact the OSC certification process to OSC Management Team
•Establishing network and maintaining good relations with BPOs on site
•Communicating and sharing on a regular basis expertise to improve the internal controls system of the of the respective organizational unit
•Establishing and spreading internal controls best practices across the organization
•Supporting internal control related activities as applicable (e.g. CASRA/EY audits, fraud prevention, reinforcement of local, Group and Corporate Policies and Procedures)
• Education required: Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
• Postgraduate / professional accounting qualification is an advantage (CPA, CIA, ACCA, etc.)
• 3-4 years relevant professional experience - external/internal audit for a variety of processes and functions
• Big 4 Audit / Internal Audit experience is a strong advantage
• Advanced in English
• Good knowledge on reporting and analysis, preferable working with Excel
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Creativity in problem solving
• Excellent analytical skills and critical mind-set, strong interpersonal skills and leadership potential
