Become a key contributor in designing and developing a scalable, cloud-based commercial application. The Java Engineer will be instrumental in delivering a stable, scalable, cloud-based back-end solution that leverages the advantages of Java web services.
You are a Java and web services enthusiast eager to build commercial applications.
You get excited about Continuous Integration and Delivery. You know your testing tools and are comfortable with tools like Docker, GoCD, and Artifactory.
You know the modern technical stack from the network up.
You are comfortable with deploying in the cloud and know how to get around AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
You have a deep respect for the challenges associated with operating a large-scale system in a production environment, and your designs and implementation reflects that understanding. You love sleeping soundly knowing that your infrastructure has been designed and implemented to be scalable and robust with the entire engineering team involved in DevOps. You’ve been woken up in the middle of the night when it hasn’t been that way.
You’ve built highly scalable commercial products that are fault-tolerant, highly available, and distributed (microservices).
You understand that great engineering teams are built upon relationships, just as much as they are built on awesome code.
You are quirky and have a personality!
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science .
5-7 years of experience in building server-side applications in Java.
Strong experience with implementing RESTful services.
Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals of data structures and algorithms.
Experience with building and maintaining a cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure or Google.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
