Job Summary
The AECOM Rotational Summer Internship Program provides MBA students with the opportunity to completely immerse themselves within the Corporate departments of a global Fortune 150 company. Working from our Century City global headquarters, Interns will gain daily, first-hand experience working alongside the Leaders of the largest public company headquartered in the City of Los Angeles.

AECOM's marquee projects include work on the world's longest cable-stayed bridge; the rebirth of New York City's World Trade Center site; and Europe's largest infrastructure effort in more than 50 years. In addition, AECOM developed the master plan design vision for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and will oversee construction of the Los Angeles Rams stadium.

Interns will rotate through two Corporate groups during the summer, filling key roles in two of the following groups:
  • Enterprise Strategy
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • M&A
  • Global Treasury
  • Internal Audit
  • Investor Relations
Interns will work alongside management and gain first-hand insight into a range of strategic CEO- and CFO-level priorities. In addition, the Interns will conduct a team project throughout the summer, culminating in a presentation to Senior Leadership.
During the 10-week program, Interns will develop technical, professional and personal skills through a 3-day training program, involvement in vital business processes and projects, and networking and mentoring relationships within AECOM. Successful Interns will be considered for a Full-Time position within AECOM, which includes a wide array of opportunities for a Global Role.
  • Perform financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research
  • Prepare and maintain complex financial models
  • Perform forecasting and analysis
  • Develop internal communications and deliver sections of research presentations
  • Develop reports and presentations for key strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to team discussions
  • Perform ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses and research assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Current MBA student from a top-tier program in first year of study
  • A minimum of three years of work experience prior to graduate school
  • Strong enthusiasm for the industry and AECOM
  • Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to be resourceful and work independently as well as within a team
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Interest in full-time employment with AECOM after graduation and open to Global and International assignments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in EPC industry preferred
