Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in the New York, NY office.

AECOM's Buildings Places business line is dedicated to excellence and integrated design solutions. With a range of expertise from strategy through project realization, the connections we make among people and places provide new insight to better outcomes for clients and communities. Our expertise includes workplace strategy, economic and development planning, master planning, urban planning, architecture, interiors, building engineering, and landscape architecture. Our B P team is leading the industry with visionary and forward-thinking projects such as the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA; Liberty Park at the World Trade Center, New York, NY; the Lower Manhattan Coastal Resilience (Big U), NY; and the LA 2024 Olympic bid.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain a line of communication and a collaborative working relationship with the AECOM Leadership team
  • Prepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and coordinate bidding process
  • Manage quality control and team performance for all phases of interiors projects
  • Manage project schedule, budgets, and set-up with sub-contractors, vendors and consultants, including preparation and execution of consultant contracts
  • Manage and maintain existing client relationships while developing new and to identify and source potential projects
  • Track financial performance of projects
  • Consistently provide complete and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project team
  • Ensure projects conform to contract and monitor construction administration
  • Mentor and coach staff for growth

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field
  • 8 years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager on a range of interiors project types
  • Experience with all phases of the project, including pre-design through post-occupancy
  • Experience negotiating project scope and fees
  • Experience in maintaining fiscal accountability of projects
  • Experienced in maintaining and building new client relationships
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
  • Self-starter, leader, manage and mentor multiple project teams
  • Able to work and lead a complex team structure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
  • LEED Accreditation required within 12 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Corporate interior experience through all phases, including large scale (150,000 ) in the NY Metro region
  • Knowledge of Revit and workflow
  • Sustainability, resiliency and/or climate adaptation experience a plus but not a requirement
