About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM's Civil Infrastructure team is looking for a Senior Technical Officer / Senior Civil Designer/Drafter to join our busy Water Infrastructure team in Rockhampton!
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for producing detailed design and engineering drawings for various municipal infrastructure projects for our Rockhampton office. Utilising your highly developed drawing and checking skills, you will liaise with lead designers and engineers to ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective project delivery. Planning and design projects will range from trunk water and sewage infrastructure, municipal road upgrades, waste management infrastructure and general structural drafting. This role will give you the opportunity to work with industry specialists and be involved in contributing to building a successful business.
As well as working with the senior members of the team, a key focus for this role will be mentoring, coaching and developing others in the team to assist them in achieving their full potential. Your ability to guide the development of our junior staff and assist them in growing in a dynamic, deadline driven, team environment will be a passion of yours.
- Recognised Civil Engineer qualification (eg. Associate Degree, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, or equivalent)
- Full capability in computer design packages (AutoCAD, 12D)
