Job Description:

Program Manager (Automotive) SUMMARY Our client, based in Toronto, manufactures parts for vehicles. The company is seeking an experienced Program Manager to ensure tools, processes and parts manufactured meet budget and profit margin goals. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee many program aspects related to auto parts manufacturing including design, production implementation as well as engineering changes. Goals such as cost, quality and deadlines must be met by ensuring tooling, processes and parts produced are aligned. Estimate cost per piece and associated tooling and then prepare quotations. Coordinate and manage AQPs for various programs. Team up to ensure timely sample submissions are made. Deal directly with customers and suppliers to solve any product issues by taking corrective actions. APQP responsibilities including SOR, timing/action tracker/phase deliverables, customer portal access, BOM into MRP, prototype builds and financial aspects. QUALIFICATIONS Engineering degree or diploma Minimum of 5 years of relevant automotive part engineering/project management/technical experience. Experience with metal stamping, forming, injection moulding and painting processes is an asset. Excellent communication and organization skills required.
