Main Purpose of Role: Recruiter – located in Villahermosa, Mexico

The Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national sourcing plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent – onshore, offshore, and corporate positions.

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans
  • Work with hiring managers or operation managers and discuss various recruiting efforts
  • Create job descriptions
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position and communicate accordingly
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions and track data accordingly for monthly reporting
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementatio
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates
  • Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other positon appropriate venues
  • Utilize the Internet for recruitment
  • Post positions to appropriate Internet sources
  • Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting
  • Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment
  • Use professional networking sites to identify and source candidates
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees
  • Locate and document where to find ideal candidates
  • Aid public relations in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads
  • Create contacts within industry
  • Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings.
  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates
  • Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives
  • Coordinate college recruiting initiatives
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition
  • Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting
  • Administrative duties and recordkeeping
  • Manage the use of recruiters and agencies
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Perform reference checks for potential employees
  • Write rejection letters
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees onsite
  • Assist in preparing and sending offer packages
  • Perform other special projects as assigned

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
  • Minimum two (3) years on-the-job experience, preferably in Oil & Gas Service sector
  • Possess computer proficiency in Windows, Power Point, MS Word and MS Excel.  Experience with Ceridian ATS is desirable
  • Must be comfortable with personal interaction with all levels of professional and non-professional personnel and assert in a confident and professional manner
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills required
  • Ability to sit at desk in front of a computer for long periods of time in a business setting
  • Must maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Must have ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
  • Highly effective team player with a positive attitude
  • Proper management of sensitive and confidential information

  • High-school diploma required
  • Bi-lingual English/ Spanish
  • Familiar with Oil and Gas Onshore/ Offshore positions
