individuals to fill the position of Financial Advisor within our Mergers and Acquisitions group based in Houston, TX.

Essential Job Duties:
- Work closely with Oxy's executive management and business development ("BD") teams to develop strategies around positioning, value, tactics, and risks with regard to merger and acquisition activities

- Prepare financial models, comparable companies/transactions, presentations, and other analyses to support corporate decision making

- Contribute meaningfully to corporate development decision making process

- Interface with internal and external personnel to identify and evaluate new business opportunities for Oxy

- Support leadership as required in research projects, opportunity documentation, and other needs *LI-YN1

- The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, have experience with M&A and/or event driven finance transactions, and have several years of energy investment banking or similar experience

- 2 to 5 years of energy investment banking, private equity, finance, or corporate development experience

- Prior experience performing oil and gas asset valuations, financial modeling, and knowledge of merger and acquisition best practices

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with the ability learn new software quickly

- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities/projects

- Ability to successfully interface in a team environment with both internal and cross functional teams

- Must be detailed oriented and have good analytical skills

- Ability to independently research ad hoc projects or analysis, as assigned

Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on merger and acquisition transactions, preferred

- Undergraduate degree in mathematics, finance, engineering, economics, accounting, or business, a plus

- Energy Investment Program participant, a plus
