Experienced Special Works Site Manager required to work with the busy regional office of this national main contractor, to run projects up to £2.5m in the Dorset and Wiltshire areas.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities for your project, including short-term programming of works, design input, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, management of trade subcontractors, call off of materials, plant and labour, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.
Typically, the workload includes projects in the education, healthcare, commercial, industrial and defence sectors.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The main contractor is the regional office of a leading main contractor, annual turnover of around £55m, and a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes in the above mentioned sectors.
Requirements including certificates and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.
Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail and finishes, you will possess strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time` approach.
You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
