Our client is the training provider at the long established and rapidly developing Royal School of Military Engineering, based in Chatham Kent. They have a rare opportunity for a qualified, experienced Plasterer to teach plastering skills. They are looking to appoint a motivated individual to instruct military students in the Plastering trade. You will have strong communication skills, have trained others (e.g. apprentices) and be IT literate. |
The successful Plasterer Instructor candidate will demonstrate a passion for delivering training to motivated students.
Essential Requirements for Plasterer Instructor
City & Guilds Advanced Craft / Level 2 Qualification or equivalent in Plastering.
Substantial trade experience relevant to plastering / structural finishing.
Ability to motivate and encourage students, teaching Plastering techniques (e.g. to apprentices, trainees etc).
Deliver plastering courses, but also have a working knowledge in associated trades such as ceramic tiling, painting, dry-lining, M/F systems, vinyl floor coverings, and glazing is desirable but not essential as in house training will be provided.
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Applications.
Knowledge and experience of quality assurance and improvement.
Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and requirements.
Ability to promote safeguarding and welfare of young people that s/he is responsible for, or comes into contact with.
Plaster Instructor - Desirable Experience:
Teaching qualification level 5 e.g. PTLLS / DTLLS / PGCE / PGCHE / DIET.
Relevant professional qualification/membership.
DTTT (Defence Train the Trainer) comprising Defence Instructional Techniques (DIT) or equivalent and 8 day Defence Train the Trainer Consolidation Course (DTTC).
Knowledge & experience of e-learning and e-assessment tools.
Working hours Mon - Fri, 8-4.30.
