My client is looking for either an experienced Apple MacBook Pro, Mac OS El Capitan, / IT / Desktop / Infrastructure Support Engineer.
Title: Apple / Mac Support Engineer.
Location: Exeter Devon - Commutable from Okehampton, Yeovil, Taunton, Honiton, Exeter, Collumpton, Plymouth, Tiverton, Exeter.
Salary: £25,000-£38,000pa dependant of experience + good benefits.
Duration: Full Time/ Permanent position.
Ability to analyse and diagnose technicalApple Mac, MacBook Pro, PC, mobile, infrastructure hardware problems.
Proficient in the use of Mac OS El Capitan.
Knowledge of Apple hardware, including MacBook Pro and iPads etc.
Microsoft Office (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook.
Windows, AD, Microsoft Exchange, and web browser.
Really understand how IT/Infrastructure works.
Knowledge of networks and servers (e.g. Windows, Linux).
Project Management would be extremely beneficial for this role.
Experience with device management, in particular iPads.
Knowledge of Android, iOS and tablets.
Education: While ideally degree educated (2.1) in a relevant technical subject. I would still like to talk to you if you have strong experience and the right skills if you do not have a degree especially if you have worked in a fast paced technical environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good listening & communication skills.
Ability to Project Manage
Inquisitive nature, wants to understand what caused the problem, then fix it!
Able to multi task, organise and maintain composure in a fast paced technical environment.
Have the aptitude and desire to learn new technologies, systems, concepts and procedures.
Able to drive.
Internally you'll be responsible for support and maintenance of Mac environment MacBook Pro and Mac OS as well as desktop, mobile devices, Windows, and iOS software and hardware, where you will be troubleshooting and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives including leading some projects.
You will be a key point of contact for our client's customers where you will be using various related technologies, ensuring effective two-way service delivery and customer support to key stakeholders. Also working alongside the deployment team, you will provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers, including the acknowledgement, escalation & communication of progress on tasks and issues until they are resolved.
