Senior Enterprise Engineer - 3rd line support / systems engineer


Our client is specialises in quality footwear for Males, Females and Children. They showcase footwear to customers in retirement properties, care homes and day centres across the country.

Career Opportunities

The successful senior enterprise engineer / 3rd line support / system engineer will be enrolled onto the clients succession/development programme. This will enable the successful candidate to progress on to senior roles within the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

The successful Senior Enterprise Engineer / 3rd line support engineer / systems engineer will be joining the team to at their head office based in Leicestershire. The senior enterprise engineer/ 3rd line support engineer / systems engineer will be accountable for the architecture

- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of an Omni channel roadmap
- On a daily basis Senior Enterprise Engineer / 3rd line support engineer / systems engineer will monitor, manage and maintain enterprise systems, with focus on security -
- Manage 3rd parties to ensure problem prioritisation and fixes the appropriate levels of control
- Follow up Service desk tickets from a 3rd line perspective
- Perform a design and architectural role in conjunction with third party suppliers
- Evaluate system development proposals

Essential skills & Experience

The successful candidate requires:

- Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent through experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within IT
- Technical knowledge of IT both at the infrastructure and application level
- Deep knowledge of networking and datacentre / data centre operations
- Good knowledge of Firewall and security of IT infrastructure
- Good knowledge of virtualisation, including backup and storage technologies
- Good knowledge of client and server operating systems (Windows)
- Strong interest in other 3rd party applications and enterprise systems
- Good working knowledge of IT Service Management processes.
- Relevant accreditations (at least 2 minimum): MCSE, VSICM, VST, CCNA, CCDP, CISSP, ECH, ITIL, Prince2, APM

- Accreditation of ITIL v.3

Competitive Salary - £40,000 - £60,000 and
