Technical Business Development Manager - Digital|
Business Development Manager required for a growing, successful and highly respected technology organisation based in Manchester.
They have already got an excellent reputation in their chosen field with some high profile customers already on board, however, they need someone to come in and help drive new business from across the UK.
You will be responsible for coming up with, putting into practice and delivering a successful sales strategy that will ultimately bring on new accounts for the business. A key part of this of this position will involve mapping out potential customers, finding the decision maker and influencing them.
As our client offer a highly specialised, niche service to their customers, you will need to get a grasp all the products / services they pitch pretty quickly.
As with any sales job, there will be a lot of negotiation when it comes to the cost of projects, services and timeframes. Your job will be to manage expectations, ensure that the customer is happy throughout and you deliver a profitable outcome.
In order to develop the business further, you'll be actively encouraged to attend events such as awards ceremonies, industry events and conferences.

Ideally you will have experience working in a digital / creative agency environment in a sales capacity. However, any experience working in IT / Digital selling technical solutions will stand you in good stead.

A genuine passion for the latest technologies such as the Apple Watch, VR, AI and AR would certainly help as they are continuing to push the boundaries of technology.
You'll have to be a team player rather than a lone ranger when it comes to your approach to sales.
