UX/UI Platform Owner
Basic to £60k + Company Car (or allowance) + 30% bonus
East Midlands

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within a Global Technology Manufacturer to join their dynamic and customer-focussed team and manage strategically important UX/UI for all their products. Taking a lead in developing their UX/UI roadmap for all the product range, you will be the key coordinator, working with Product Management R&D, Suppliers, Operations, and Marketing. You will also be responsible for setting and driving the future vision of their customer experience across all our product ranges.

The successful candidate will be confident working at all levels, from discussing detailed points with software developers and prioritising features for incremental releases, to working with management on strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the UX/UI platform across all our product ranges, creating a strategic vision for best in class UX/UI within our markets.
•Liaising with product owners to capture requirements to ensure consistency of the user and customer experience across our product portfolio
•Manage in-life product versions, balancing short-term development priorities for multiple stakeholders, and releasing field updates to the market in a timely manner.
•Steer the platform through a product lifecycle process, hosting gate reviews and ensuring all pre-requisites are appropriately met within committed timelines.
•Work closely with user experience designers and R&D to ensure product requirements are met and best practice product design is implemented.
•Create Technical Launch deliverables including training materials, documentation and web based support resources.
•Take ownership of commercial aspects of UX/UI development, including order fulfilment processes, distribution and UX/UI definition.
•Work with marketing and product managers to define the market launch plan, providing technical input into the value proposition and core product messaging, and ensuring marketing deliverables are ready for product launch.
•Obtain and analyse feedback from clients, development, and sales and marketing, and feedback into the UX/UI Platform (including competitor benchmarking).
•Develop Market requirements and product requirements for future hardware and Software platforms.

Experience Required

•Experience of Product Management/ownership - including involvement in broader product considerations, such as commercial model and fulfilment.
•Strategic Planning
•Project Management - including working directly with customers to manage requirements capture and delivery.
•Software development - working closely with or embedded within a development team on UI/UX level.
•Experience of industrial UI
•Experience of Coding and Marking technologies. (desirable)

Skills Required

•Good understanding of UI/UX design principles.
•Product lifecycle process administration.
•Product development and launch planning.
•Ability to sell ideas to internal stakeholders.
•Relationship building
•Work with customers to understand new requirements and escalate issues.
•Project management skills and practical approach to PM (with associated IT tools).
•Ability to work with technical authors to create technical help and support docs as well as an ability to author documents without support.
