GTS Business Analyst Colchester Salary Negotiable with excellent benefits|
Working for a leading global provider of outsourced business solutions for the automotive industry the GTS Business Analyst will form a communication bridge between IT and the business stakeholders. The Business Analyst must be a great verbal and written communicator, tactful diplomat, problem solver, and analyst - with the ability to engage with stakeholders to understand and respond to their needs in a rapidly changing business environment.
Liaise with operations and sales teams on their development strategy to find out what they want the business to achieve - be prepared to drive and challenge those teams on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
Carry out fact finding tasks into the business's processes to see what they do and how they do it - elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
Analyse your findings and use data modelling methods to come up with recommendations for changes and improvements
Identify the potential impact and risks of your recommendations
Present the business case for your recommendation and negotiate commitment as required
Develop technical / non-technical requirements documents as needed:
Agile user stories
GUI, screen and interface designs
User guides and training materials/delivery
Oversee testing and quality checks of recommendations
Support the staff who are responsible for making the changes and report any issues
In some cases, you may also be responsible for managing the project all the way through to completion
Serve as a conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team for product development requirements
Skills & Experience:
Qualified to degree or postgraduate level in computer science, business information system, computing and systems development or business management. Candidates with equivalent business experience / qualifications will also be considered.
An industry recognised certification would be advantageous, such as the International Institute of Business Analysis UK (IIBA) or The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS)
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Strong business and technical acumen and customer focus.
40 hour week with some flexibility required
