Senior Quantity Surveyor required for a well-known company name within the Manchester area.|
You will be responsible for managing the commercial performance of projects, working alongside the Project Manager as part of the project team and also designated projects.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Carry out commercial activities to meet the Project objectives, including providing advice, guidance and support on such matters to the Project team.
Proficient in the understanding of contractual obligations, under all standard forms of contract - NEC & JCT.
Measuring & describing construction work.
Preparing & using detailed budgets and cost plans.
Preparing & interpreting turnover/cash flow projections and profit/loss forecasts.
Assist in the identification of and undertaking the valuing of variations & potential variations.
Preparing interim applications for payment.
Preparing and presentation of financial control/WIP documentation.
The preparation and agreement of final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Management and control of major projects within the construction and related industries and / or significant number of concurrent minor projects.
Resolve contractual issues including extensions of time, loss and/or expense claims, terms & conditions.
Prepare and submit reports as appropriate to Company requirement especially month end results, forecasts and activity reports.
Administer the commercial and financial function in line with the contract conditions.
Procurement of sub-contract packages.
Management of warranties and bonds.
Assist in the preparation of annual financial budgets and quarterly review forecasts as directed by financial procedures.
The successful candidate will have significant experience as a quantity surveyor, including a thorough working knowledge of all standard forms of contract including NEC and JCT and knowledge of building and Civil Engineering/Construction technology; Measurement practice; Construction law & practice; Commercial Management
