Ventilation Service Engineer

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE plus benefits.
Contracts: Full time, permanent

Due to expansion, we are recruiting for a high calibre Ventilation Service Engineer

The Role:

- We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer for the UK based in central Buckinghamshire to work on wide range of ventilation products within the HVAC Industry. Daily duties include both hands-on and administrative tasks in the field and office alike

- This position assumes a key role by being the front line assisting customers and installers at every stage including start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, responding to call-outs when required, troubleshooting and carrying out repairs if necessary

- Communicating and reporting technical information is key to this role, and the ability to provide clear and concise technical product support both internally and externally is essential

- The capability to understand technical specifications and drawings and then to advise and design possible ventilation solutions is also a requirement

- The role requires demonstrable electronic and electrical knowledge preferably in the HVAC Industry, the ability to maintain a high technical level of product knowledge, customer focused, team oriented, flexibility and proactivity

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

- Maintain a high level of customer service in a professional and timely manner and uphold Company standards with a conscientious and pro-active approach
- Endeavour to provide a high level of customer satisfaction
- Provide technical and service support to customers, colleagues and other service professionals as required
- Maintain clear, concise and effective business communication proficiently, both verbal and written
- Document all site visits completing internal reports and updating Company systems in a timely manner
- Consult notes and reports regarding open issues and prepare formal customer reports as necessary
- Comply with regulatory, legal and industry regulations and ensure compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies
- Provide product support training where necessary
- Develop Service technical documentation and processes
- Provide technical support in a sales office environment and recommend solutions for wide range of ventilation products
- To prepare written quotations based upon list prices or costing information
- Be flexible in approach when required to cover during colleagues absence
- Other duties as required commensurate with the capabilities of a Service Engineer

Key Competencies & Requirements

- Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Service or related HNC/HND
- Minimum of two years previous experience providing mechanical, electrical and electronic

- engineering services, trouble shooting, and field maintenance and repairs preferably in the
- HVAC Industry
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact confidently with customers and
- colleagues to provide support and training on products and systems
- The ability to interpret and communicate technical data with a well-developed ability to
- effectively and productively communicate it both verbally and in writing
- Understanding of architectural drawings and technical specifications
- Experience of reading, understanding and interpreting technical reports
- Quality focussed with a proactive approach to technical challenges
- Proven analytical, logical, and quantitative skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines within a tight schedule
- Fluent English, both spoken and written is essential
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural, cross functional, matrix organization
- Experience of using and updating a CRM system would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage
- Clean Driving licence
