A global material handling company that has a very strong reputation for designing and manufacturing specialist equipment for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry sectors, is seeking a project manager to assist in the electrical / mechanical installation and application of their parent company's equipment and associated tools into customers sites around the world. This will be a full PM position with responsibility for managing projects, sub contractors, design layout and installation exercises and controls and waste management systems.

The main purpose of the role will be to oversee the design and application of pre ordered machinery and equipment into various sites located around the world. This will include close liaison with many internal and external parties and sub contractors to ensure effective delivery. Duties will also include the design and problem solving aspects of installing material handling equipment into new build facilities, with attention to power, controls, waste management, pumps, hydraulic power and general process manufacturing needs. The use of CAD and PM Software tools will also play a daily part of the position.
The position will also be expected to travel and stay away at international locations on a regular basis for average stays of 3 - 7 days with the odd 14 days stay from time to time. This will be on average 1 week in every month.

The right engineer for this position will be an experience PM with process and material handling machinery installation exposure.
A good level of experience in Controls and Instrumentation (Siemens, SCADA etc.,)
A good understanding of ATEX, HAZOPS and European Safety Standards is also important, along with the ability to create P&ID and Plant Layout drawings with CAD.
All applicants are required to hold a formal qualification in engineering HND / Degree level in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
