Our client has been established for more than two decades and specialise in the manufacture of bespoke windows and doors for sale throughout the UK to both commercial and domestic customers, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated and experienced Project Contracts Manager to complement their established and successful team.

Working as part of a team on commercial window and door projects with a trusted quality product range, the successful Project Contracts Manager will be commercially astute and tasked with managing multiple projects on valuable projects across the UK although primarily based around the Camden London area.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, core responsibilities will include managing specific contracts from the selection of equipment through to the successful commissioning and customer handover, both on time and within budget, and preparing project plans and risk assessments and method statements for submission to their customers, so previous experience of managing multiple teams of window or door installers across numerous sites around the UK is essential for the position.

Additionally you will be used to dealing with large refurbishment contracts as you will be responsible for the preparation of project costing, controlling of budgets, monitoring of project progress against agreed milestones and advising site management teams on the preparation of contracts/installation, so exceptional communication and administration skills with both internal and external customers is essential as well as the ability to motivate and direct member of the project and design team and to undertake associated activities including administration, marketing and invoicing as required.

With exhaustive knowledge of both using and enforcing health and safety regulations on site, you will be a current holder of an SMSTS card or equivalent and will demonstrate thorough knowledge of both JCT and NEC contacts, and in particular be used to dealing with disputes in a professional and contractual manner.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity with a recognized industry leader, you will ideally possess previous experience of initiating, managing and delivering significant projects/contracts within the glazing or construction sector (although experience gained within a manufacturing / engineering environment will also be considered), and demonstrate previous experience of implementing contracts with an understanding of penalty clauses and supplier performance criteria. A good working knowledge of a formal project management system, e.g. MS Project and proficient in all MS Office packages will be distinctly advantageous.
