Job Title - Electrical Maintenance Engineer|
Shifts - 4 on 4 off, days & nights, 6 til 6
Location - Measham
Salary - £38,500 plus overtime (OTE £40k - £45k)
Double Matched Pension (up to 12% employer contribution)
Our client is specialises in the manufacturing of products for the construction market. With over 20 manufacturing sites across the UK, this multi-billion pound company have been investing heavily across both their production and quarry sites to help meet an ever increasing market demand for construction materials.
Their Measham site, their largest production facility, have just finished having another brand new fully automated Brick line installed. This now allows the site to produce over 100 million bricks per year. This extra production capacity has not only lead to the expansion of their Production team, but also their Engineering department and as such they now require an additional two Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join their team.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for three key areas; Reactive Maintenance, Planned Preventative Maintenance and Installation Project work. With production running 24/7, the site manages their maintenance activities carefully and thanks to a carefully managed PPM schedule only 10% of the time is spent working on breakdowns.
The duties of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be 90% electrical in nature against 10% mechanical as the site has separate Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Electrical tasks include fault finding using a multimeter against electrical drawings, fault finding using a multimeter on PLCs (Siemens S5 & S7), fault finding, rectification and installation of panels, repairing AC and DC motors (Brake, Star Delta and Soft Start), changing sensors, inverters, relays and contactors.
As much as the plant is automated and PLC fault finding is done with a laptop, candidates do not need to be able to write or alter code.
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:
* Must have previous experience working as an Electrical Engineer in an industrial environment.
* Must have 16th edition as a minimum.
* Must have a recognised Electrical Qualification (ONC, HNC, HND, City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ, and Apprenticeship).
* Must be able to fault find using a multimeter.
