A globally recognised Institution and one of the UK's most successful Universities. In the heart of London with first class facilities and exciting expansion plans over the coming years, is looking to recruit an Interim Security Systems Technical Lead.|
Working with the Facilities and Infrastructure section of the Estates Division; which is responsible for delivering the services of physical and electronic security. The Security Systems Technical Lead will be the technical expert for the electronic access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring and intercom systems.
The role will include:
Assisting with the further development of technical specifications and standards with regard to the deployment, installation and management of security systems.
Continuously reviewing existing standards, compliancy requirements, and current technologies.
Direct and control the implementation of technical specifications security systems installation, service and maintenance contractor; through the process of design, monitoring and implementation control.
Manage and develop system records and drawings.
Manage the configuration of systems and the control of admin/user privileges to the system.
Ensure that service and maintenance regimes are monitored and managed in accordance with company standards, compliancy requirements and best practice.
Work closely with Estates project delivery teams in the deployment of new systems.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and experience of a wide variety of systems and security industry standards and approaches. The ideal candidate for the role will be able to demonstrate the ability to work in all disciplines, at all levels; from technology research to system design, layout, configuration and oversight of implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades over the life of the systems. They would have an in-depth knowledge of security technology, be a dedicated, motivated and highly organised individual, who can demonstrate considerable enthusiasm and drive to pursue excellence and innovation in the role
