Our client provides aircraft systems to a diverse group of customers including airline operators, aircraft constructors, private aircraft owners and charter operators, governments and military operations and distributors and repair stations.

Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist
We are offering an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join an exciting aerospace organization and play a major role in the company's transformation process through the implementation of its recently designed production system. The company is advanced enough to realise that opportunities for improvement exist not only in its manufacturing processes; the role on offer will predominantly be working within the companies Design and New Product Introduction Engineering teams as well the production support functions such as Quality, Procurement and Planning. The candidate will be working within these functions along with assisting the manufacturing modules throughout the organization and this means we are looking for candidates with experience in both Transactional and Manufacturing Process Improvement

Specific responsibilities:
Initiate, develop and implement tools, methods and processes that assist the company achieve its KPI's and ensure successful implementation of the company's Production System.

Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist
• Work with Departmental/Module/Engineering Managers to identify improvement opportunities and establish project goals based on strategic priorities.
• Analyse processes using established CI techniques to optimise performance (statistical analysis, Takt time studies, single piece flow, Kan-Ban, value stream mapping, waste elimination, 6s, SMED, OEE, etc.)
• Responsible for implementing appropriate continuous improvement projects for the achievement of key business metrics relating to quality, cost and delivery.
• Mentor Green Belts in the Lean/Six Sigma methodology of DMAIC through to project completion and individual accreditation.
• Share best practice and process learning across all facilities and the wider group
• Provide guidance to the rest of the business on their CI initiatives to support them in meeting their objectives

Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist
Key skills and competencies required:
• University degree in an appropriate Engineering or Manufacturing discipline preferred or complementary experience of Lean Principles and improvement methodologies.
• Minimum Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation.
• Experience working with business/process improvement projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience of developing and delivering training in CI techniques is desirable.
• Demonstrated communication, facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
• Demonstrated project leadership and teamwork skills through effective influencing and challenging of an organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to follow an analytical approach to problem solving.
• Must have a track record and aptitude for developing a team based approach to problem solving and change management
