Multi skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Responsibilities:

- As a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining high quality electrical and mechanical installations and repairs.
- You will play a key part in planning and completing a range of planned maintenance works associated with electrical and mechanical engineering
- Constantly looking to improve production facilities, to reduce the incidence of breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliabilities and safety of plant and personnel within the production process
- To ensure the smooth running of all machinery and electricity related functions.
- Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns
- Supervision of Maintenance staff

Multi skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Key Responsibilities:

-Preventative maintenance on all machinery

-Understanding of TPM

-Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults

-Diagnosing break down problems/faults

-Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly

-Liaising with suppliers and departmental Managers

-Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings and components

-Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs

-Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment

-Maintaining adequate stock of spare parts

-Dealing with emergencies, even outside of your normal working hours, unplanned problems and repairs

-Working with specialist equipment such as CNC programmable machines which control machinery in the factory machine shop and associated areas

-Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines

-New equipment selection and installation

-Ensuring there is a continuous cover for machinery and equipment in case if breakdowns

-Organising external maintenance schedules

-Development of Junior maintenance engineer

-Supervising of external contractors on site

-Understanding of O.E.E. metric

-Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation

-Operator training as and when required

Qualification and training requirements

- Demonstrate previous knowledge and experience of mechanical and or production engineering
- Demonstrate previous knowledge and experience of fault finding with various systems (electrical and mechanical)
- Electrical qualifications
- Good practical and technical skills
