Job Objectives |
To provide support and advice to ensure on-going compliance to the ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards and to embed and improve Quality tools and techniques into the business
Job specific duties including but not limited to:
o Lead the development and delivery of induction training for new staff to introduce them to the purpose of Quality and Safety Management, how it impacts on their job role and introduce them to the Quality and Safety Management Systems.
o Lead robust process and procedure development - review current work practices with Process Owners to identify areas in which quality or productivity could be improved to further enhance business and/or project performance.
o Lead the evaluation of compliance to those processes and procedures and suggesting improvements to continually improve the business working alongside others as appropriate.
o On-going evaluation and enhancement of compliance to the ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards.
o Development of a rolling internal audit programme.
o Trend and risk analysis to identify proactive and reactive improvements and development, execution and monitoring of Process Improvement Programmes to address those trends and risks.
o Management of system related non-conformances to resolution to stakeholder requirements.
o Develop, collate and provide information to support management reviews.
o Any other duties as directed by your Line Manager or a Director of the Company.
NOTE: This role will be based at our head office with some travel required within the UK and international travel.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
o Be an experienced, professional management systems practitioner.
o Be able to demonstrate a good understanding and working knowledge of QA processes and procedures in a sector which involves complex engineering and manufacturing, which complied with the ISO9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards as a minimum.
o Experienced in root cause analysis incl. 5 whys.
o Internal Audit Qualification and at least 2 years auditing experience in a complex engineering or manufacturing sector.
o Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to support the business through the certification process and deliver induction skills.
o Have proven competency and knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel (Visio desirable although not essential).
o Be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
o Possess a high level of personal initiative with a professional approach.
o Lead Auditor for both 9001 and 18001
o Experience of ISO14001
o Experience of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
o Experience of delivering training sessions
o PCQI or Chartered Quality Professional MCQI or equivalent from other relevant professional institute
