Manufacturing Engineer (Contract)|
Initial term 6 months with potential extension
Rate: £25ph - £27ph
Immediate start available
I have an immediate requirement for a contract Engineer to work with a company who supply a range of tooling, lifting and support equipment to the Aerospace industry.
The job is a desk based position and will involve working with sub-contract vendors to deal with enquiries and questions relating to the manufacturing of the Company's products.
These questions could be anything relating to design problems, weld-types or timeframe enquiries.
Additionally, you will be tasked with some analytical work, monitoring reoccurring problems and noting the quality of services which vendors provide.
It is anticipated that there will be at least six months' work available with the potential for further extension or permanent opportunities at the conclusion.
To be considered, you must be able to come in and fulfil the role quickly, so you will be an experienced Engineer, most likely from a mechanical manufacturing background.
You will be comfortable communicating with sub-contract manufacturing partners whether via phone or email.
You will also be knowledgeable about tooling, jigs, fixtures and/or lifting equipment and how these products are manufactured.
