We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a reputable, growing contractor in the Bristol area, offering relocation from the Lincolnshire area. With a split of 75% sub-contracting and 25% contracting, they have ambitious growth plans which are projected to reach £70 million by 2020 a as group. Depending on size of projects, they have up to 15-20 job running concurrently with an average project size of £10k - £3 million.|
In addition to the outstanding aforementioned figures, the company have an excellent reputation with a history of repeat business. They are a medium sized contractor - Big enough to have strong processes and a good pipeline of work, small enough to make staff feel valued. Coupled with large, modern and comfortable head offices, they have a low staff attrition rate and seek a Quantity Surveyor to achieve the ambitious growth figures.
The successful candidate will be working within a commercial team of 6 and would be responsible for managing 2 - 5 projects concurrently depending on value, taking them from procurement all the way through to final account. As a result, this position would suit a project QS with 5 + year's experience and looking for progression to managing several projects concurrently.
We are seeking someone with a minimum of a HNC in a construction related subject who also has a strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract. A candidate with strong Blueform experience would also be suitable. You must have experience of sub-contracting/contracting within groundworks, civil engineering or earthworks. Similarly, a candidate with a build background with strong NEC experience and civils exposure would be considered.

* Supply chain control from procurement to to final account
* Supply chain reviews
* Variations and claims
* Allocation of costs
* Material ordering and quotations
* Close contact with site teams and subcontractor
* Client liaison
* Site meetings
* Final Accounts
